Avenged Sevenfold, the crowning jewel above all, shook the earth and sky. The bands were all extremely impressive, and all extremely complementary to each other. The boys were perfectly in sync with each other, each double guitar solo perfectly executed, all marching to the immaculate power of Mike Portnoy's drumming. The old Gods of metal trembled in fear of their impending demise as Avenged Sevenfold took the stage. The hi-lights of the show were easily Stone Sour, Halestorm, and Hell Yeah, holding up the banner of heavy metal loud and proud.
Most noticeably, David Draiman's vocals sounded strained, and he had trouble hitting high notes while performing "10,000 Fists". All respect to Butcher Babies, but they simply didn't stand a chance in hell of following up the performance Avenged displayed. I was squished together with a thousand other like-minded souls in the front of the crowd, and over half of us knew every word to every song that M. Shadows belted out. They wore their anger and sorrow like badges of honor on their faces, spreading it out for all the crowd and countryside to hear. This was perfectly assembled.
